H2k Full House Reports for Solar PV Sizing

    Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience/advice with providing the h2k Full House Report for the purposes of sizing a solar PV system?

In this case, the homeowner (in Calgary, AB) has had a D evaluation completed by me for a 1960's home he's recently moved into and is doing a large renovation on the house.

As he does not have a year's worth of utility bills showing his electrical usage, his solar contractor is requesting the h2k report (to submit for the solar micro-generation application) including all the planned upgraded electrical loads to the home i.e. new AC unit, hot tub, hood fan, washer/dryer,  freezer etc.

Can I edit the Base Loads in H2k to try to reflect this situation? (see attached screenshot)

Does it matter if I'm in General mode or ERS 2020 NBC?

I realize this may be a provincial specific question as AB is a different than other provinces in terms of the electrical grid.  Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

If you are in General mode, the loads will be as accurate as your inputs.
ERS mode will use default loads

Clayton, we've provided these reports to solar clients before for similar reasons. Yes use General Mode, and you can modify the inputs. You can also import the file into Volta and that will provide an hourly analysis which is usually even better for them.
