H2K Room by Room error

    Hi,

    I have a 11.11 file that is throwing an error I have never encountered. 

    "However this foundation is not referenced by any of the rooms defined for the house. Room loads cannot be...." Any quick fix?

    Hi Matthew,

    I advise not using the h2k room by room calculations, as the output will not be F280-12 compliant, and the required ammount of work to make it correct is hard to self-verify. Miteks Right Suite is probably one of the simpler options to use, with a bunch of online tutorials.

    The fix for what you are looking for is usually ensuring all foundation entries you've created have been referenced in at least one Room. You cannot have unattached foundations when you start using Room by Room in h2k.

    I want to mention that CACEA has arranged a Heat Loss Heat Gain Calculation certification program for an EA-only audience with HRAI. The dates are Oct 8-11 from 9:30am-5:30pm Central time.  Registration will be through HRAI - CACEA members get 25% discounts and I am working on additional subsidies.

    We are also having a whole house F280 training session on Sept 18 10:30-5pm ET. Registration is currently open on the events page.  Successful participants will be listed on CACEA's website as having completed the training to provide this service (must be a Full category CACEA member, have E&O insurance and an annual SO verification letter to be listed

    Matthew what were you trying to do room by room for?  In 2017 NRCan also stated that room Labels for room-by-room would not ahow up in reports and that the Add Rom/Unit is not to be used for the EnerGuide Ratng System.

    I have not personally seen the area but sounds like the basement is not associated to any of the rooms and at least one would have to be.
