Hybrid Hydronic Heat Exchanger with ASHP

    I have a client that is looking at a Hydronic Heat Exchange as a back up system to their ASHP. Does anyone have any experience with these systems or products?

    Hi Kent, do you mean a hydronic coil (heat exchanger) in their furnace or air handler to transfer heat into their forced air system? And this is heated by a boiler or water heater?

    Hi Toby, 

    You are correct, it will be a hot water coil in the air exchanger as back up to the ASHP. So far we are having a hard time finding local contractors that are familiar with either set up.
