    Hi all,

The BC code is up for public review.

    https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/industry/construction-industry/building-codes-standards/bc-codes/public-review

    Important changes include:

Metrics for air tightness. Allows for different measurements. ACH, normalized leakage rate, normalized leakage areas. This should allow for apples to apples comparison in terms of envelope coverage and floor areas.

GHG calculation. As previously discussed, using the CoV guidance for buildings only.

Thermal characteristics and efficiencies are updated.

Always appreciate the comments here. Official feedback up until Nov 4th.

    Best,

    Colin

Thanks for posting. Looks like a lot to review.  I notice they had the air tightness chart in metric.  Would suggest they include imperial as the NLR will get very confusing seeing 2.5ach at 0.89NLR to most.

    Thanks Cindy,

I'd be interested in what the comments will be. If possible, please share.

    Best,

    Colin
