Hi all,
Thanks for the great info! This is very useful to have. I'll look into this.
FYI: I've been looking at this since a client (gulp) told me about the keyboard shortcut.
There are source emissions factors provided by Energy Star Portfolio Manager. This would provide an accurate GHG value as well. Searchable online:
https://portfoliomanager.energystar.gov/pdf/reference/Source%20Energy.pdf
https://portfoliomanager.energystar.gov/pdf/reference/Emissions.pdf
Interestingly electrical GHG (g/kwh) for : Alberta = 690 and BC = 13 and Ontario = 30. So in terms of heat pump retrofits, not all regions will contribute to a reduction of GHG equally.
For EAs in the lower mainland:
The District of West Van has a memo where they use an emissions conversion factor for the GHG.
There is a separate calculator for the City of Vancouver where unregulated loads are accounted for (different from Step Code).
So I'll follow suit here and follow the advice given here. Always good to have EAs on the same page.
Thanks again for the help!
All the best,
Colin
