May I please know the best option to run HOT2000 on a Mac computer? I'm currently on trial version of Parallels. I would like to know if there are better options available. Thanks!

    Norman,

I am a Mac user and have been using H2K through Parallels for some time.  If you do not want to change your platform, Parallels works seamlessly.  Personally, though I have not tried other virtual machine solutions, I have no hesitation recommending Parallels.

    Hope this helps

Hi Wayne, thank you for sharing your experience with Parallels. Is their Standard Edition package (priced at one-time purchase CAD 99) sufficient to run H2K?

They also have the Pro and Business Editions, I guess these are for serious gamers (which I'm not), I only intend to use Parallels to run H2K on Mac, nothing else.

    Thank you again Wayne.

    Norman

    Norman,

The standard version is fine I have no problem running H2K, MS Office, etc, etc at the same time I have other macOS apps running at the same time - however I have 16GB of ram which would be the minimum I would recommend.  I also have been running Win11 at the same time to try it out, no problems

I was not aware there was a one time purchase - I am on the subscription.  If you can find a one-time purchase, please advise.

    Reach out at any time!

Thanks again Wayne. I just did an h2k modelling using Parallels and I'm quite satisfied with it, I'm definitely buying Parallels once the trial period is over.

They have a one-time purchase version but with many limitations: https://kb.parallels.com/122929
