Over the past few months, rather than just bitching about H2K, I started writing my own tools. I decided to release them as open source so other EAs that are familiar with the Unix CLI can use them too. There are some hard-coded values appropriate for NS, so EAs in other provinces may need to make some changes.
The tools include:
A greener homes wizard that generates a h2k file in ERS mode, with most of the standard RUR comment text pre-populated.
E-file wizard that takes a D file and produces an E-file.
A mshp updater that sets EfficiencyNS info fields and adds a Type 2 CCHP with specs populated from the NRCan CCHP database.
These tools are for people that have some level of programming experience. If you don't know what "#!/usr/bin/python" means, then these tools will not be of any use to you.
