I know the mailbot is being retired, but is there anywhere I can find a list of all the automatic checks that the mailbot was doing on the h2k file?

There is a document 15.11 EnerGuide Rating System—Electronic File Submission User Guide—Version 15.11.
I believe this has all the checks for the mailbot.

Thanks David.  I looked up that document and the first thing I checked wasn't in there.

All my files with direct-vent combo oil boilers were getting rejected with "One of the values contained in the *.TSV is out of range".  As per the ERS tech procedures s. 3.5.12.3 I was using the H2K default efficiency of 87%.  My files for combo boilers connected to a chimney using 85% efficiency were all accepted.

Appendix C doesn't explicitly list combo boilers, but for a direct-vent furnace the range is 85-89%.  A senior EA I spoke to confirmed my suspicion that I have to use 85%.

Another bug I encountered is that the mailbot still won't accept houses built in 2021, so I have to put in 2020.  And then when the homeowner looks at their report and tells me the year built is wrong, I have to explain that NRCan hasn't figured out that their home could be more than 6 months old.  I'd also like to tell the homeowner that many people at NRCan couldn't find their arse with both hands, but I keep that to myself...

I've also figured out there's different rules for E files.  The file submission guide says telephone is not mandatory.  It isn't for D files, but it is for E.

I don't know if this helps this conversation but when ever you have  condensing anything, Hot2000 likes to see 90% when it comes to "combo/boiler".  That and if you are choosing the "combo" button then it also likes to click inside the Pilot light and the Flue Diameter boxes (even though they are 0!).  I used to get the error about combo, but if I clicked in those two regions it would go away.

I'm not sure what you are choosing as Direct vent is not in boilers or combos.

Angela, "Direct vent, non-condensing" is an option for both combo and boilers.
