With the increased focus on using heat pumps, the issue of proper sizing has becoming increasingly important. The Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) conducted a Canada-wide research project, funded by Natural Resources Canada, to assess, evaluate, and analyse duct systems and their air flow and static pressure in houses – particularly in existing homes. The study’s goal was to explore how this test could assist with better heat pump sizing.

Mark Rosen MEA with Building Knowledge Canada and CACEA's project manager, will provide an overview of the project objective and methodology; report on the overall findings and potential implications for industry and share the lessons learned from trialing this new testing procedure using Energy Advisors (EA) in the field.

Mark will also facilitate an interactive discussion with selection Duct Flow EA project participants who will share their perspective on the benefits and opportunities for EAs performing this test for the home building and renovation industry.

This event is available to CACEA members and non-members at no charge.  CEC = 1
