Blower door testing of attached homes typically measures a mix of leakage from outside and from other attached units. Compared to blower door tests on detached homes, this means that all of these results are "wrong". How do these test results inform energy modelling, voluntary programs, and codes?

Experienced EA and CACEA board member, Mark Rosen, Building Energy Inc. will explore and facilitate a discussion on this important topic.

Who should attend:

Anyone who has ever performed a blower door test, built an attached home, consulted on or developed codes or programs, or has even a passing interest in airtightness. This will be a technical webinar, with a fair amount of numbers and analysis.

What attendees will learn:

We will explore, and hopefully clarify, the challenges that face attached homes when it comes to aligning blower door test results with their application to energy models and/or minimum compliance standards.
